Llew came to me with the goal of creating a brand that would help him move beyond a simple photography service and into a highly recognisable identity. He wanted to tap into the personal meaning behind his name, which means "Lion" in Welsh, and was looking for someone who could blend that heritage with a clean, professional edge. I worked on developing a versatile, punchy visual system that successfully separates his brand from competitors, ensuring he has a professional look that is instantly memorable to his clients.

I spent a lot of time sketching and researching, trying to find the right balance between a literal lion icon and the technical elements of photography. We explored various camera inspired shapes, lenses, and tripods, eventually realising that we didn't need to force a camera into the main logo. Instead, I focused on crafting a clean, modern lion head that represents Llew perfectly, leaving the photography specific icons for supporting brand elements. The striking orange makes the brand pop against the more muted tones typically seen in the photography world, and also represents him and his brand perfectly as he has auburn hair, and again connects him as the photographer to his personal brand.
