ACDC Inspired Wedding Invite
This project was a fun one for me to have to experiment a bit more with textures and a more grungy feel to the project, it was also a short notice project I had to turn around in a day which was a fun challenge. I have worked with this client often on their corporate projects, so when they reached out to me with a personal request for a wedding party invitation, I was happy to help them out on short notice. They were looking for an ACDC themed design that featured their initials, which would be AS and AS after they were married, styled to match the iconic ACDC logo. As you can guess they both love ACDC.

Solving a creative brief with a rock and roll twist
The challenge here was capturing the form and energy of the ACDC logo while adapting it to the client’s initials. Since the ACDC logo has evolved subtly over the years, I had to be careful with the bevelled edges and shapes to make it look authentic, all while incorporating a famous quote from Shook Me All Night Long. It was a fun project that allowed me to flex my illustrative muscles, ensuring the final invite captured that gritty, high energy feel of the band while still clearly being a wedding celebration.

Experimenting with texture to add a gritty and realistic finish
I really enjoyed having the scope to play with textures and layouts for this one, moving beyond a standard A5 digital invite. I proposed a second version in the style of a concert ticket, which felt like the perfect fit for the theme, and I even incorporated a custom sticker effect I had originally developed during my time at university. By scanning and photoshopping an old Amazon parcel sticker, I was able to add a layer of realism and grit that elevated the whole concept, without cluttering the clean, minimal colour palette we stuck to throughout.

Delivering a memorable design that exceeded client expectations
I am really pleased with the final result, and more importantly, the client and their partner were thrilled with the ticket concept. It was a great project to work on, and hope to work on more music themed design projects soon. This quick one day turnaround was an exception I made as he's a great client to work with, and to ensure they had something they loved and brought their vision to life for their wedding party invite.
